ELECTION VICTORIES: Ikere-Ekiti NBA Human Rights Committee Rejoices With Anyia, Two Others As Vice Presidents   … pledges constant readiness to work with them

This was contained in a statement made available to journalists in Ado-Ekiti on Wednesday by the Vice Chairman of the Committee, Iyanu Olumuagun.

Their victories according to the statement, is a testament of confidence and trust reposed in them by members of the association to represent them at the national level.

The committee also expressed its readiness to work with the new executives in order to promote human rights and equal treatment in practice and awareness of human rights in the country.

The statement reads, “We join members of the Nigerian Bar Association to felicitate with our Vice President 1- Mr. Sabastian Anyia, Vice President 2- Mrs. Bolatumi Olasunbo Animashaun, and Vice President 3- Mrs. Zainab Aminu Garba, on their victories at the just concluded General Election of the Nigerian Bar Association.

“Your respective victories are no doubt an attestation of the confidence and trust, the people have in you as Committed and Dedicated Visionary Leaders, who will strive to realize their aspirations and effectively represent them at the National level.

“We have no doubt that the Human Right Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association will benefit greatly owing to your rich experiences, abilities and wisdom.

“You may be rest assured of our constant readiness to work with you, in order to monitor, protect and promote Human Rights as well as ensure compliance with Human Rights standards, including, but not limited to, equal treatment in practice and awareness creation of Human Rights in Nigeria.

“We look forward to you, joining hands with the NBA, Human Rights Committee, Ikere-Ekiti Branch, as we collectively strive to ensure, the need to upholding human rights laws, policies and programs that will promote the Fundamental Rights of Nigerians.

“While wishing you success in your respective offices, please accept our Sincere Congratulations”.
