EKSU Mourns Alara of Aramoko-Ekiti Demise 

The Vice Chancellor described His  Royal Majesty, Iku Baba Yeye, the Alara of Aramoko Ekiti, a former Chancellor of Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti as “all things to all people, a tower of strength and a committed provider to his community of Aramoko kingdom”. 

He further said, “I express heartfelt condolences to the Aramoko in Council, the Oloris, children and the entire Oba Adegoke Adeyemi family, on the demise of their patriarch and worthy father”.

The Vice Chancellor noted that Kabiyesi’s departure “is a huge loss, not only to Aramoko, to which he committed 16 years of his life as the Alara of Aramoko Kingdom, but also to the university, Ekiti State and the entire Yoruba race”. According to the university administrator, “Oba Olu Adegoke Adeyemi became a golden king, an institution and an authority rolled into one by virtue of his immense experience, wisdom and understanding of Yoruba history and royalty”.

Professor Ayodele further stated that “Kabiyesi’s death is a great loss to him and EKSU community at large because he proved himself to be a worthy father when he was the Chancellor of the university, whose 

words of advice and guidance were always golden and helpful”.
