Ekiti’s Chief Judge Dies At 64

This is disclosed in a statement signed by the Chief Registrar of the Ekiti State Judiciary, Olanike Adegoke, on Tuesday in Ado-Ekiti.

According to the statement, Mr Adeyeye died on Monday at the age of 64 after a brief illness.

It described Mr Adeyeye as “a respectful jurist” who dedicated his life to upholding the principles of fairness, equity and justice.

“His contribution to the development of the judiciary and Ekiti State at large are immeasurable and his legacy will be deeply missed.

“The details of the burial arrangement will be announced in due course,” the statement said.

Meanwhile, the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) has extended its condolences to the family of the deceased.

The condolence message read: “With deep sorrow in our hearts and in total submission to the will of God, FIDA Ekiti consoles with the family of the Chief Judge of Ekiti State, Hon Justice Oyewole Adeyeye on his call to glory.

“May He find rest with his maker.

“I pray that God grants the family, the Judiciary and the people of Ekiti State, the grace to bear this irreparable loss. Adieu great one.”
