Ekiti Speaker Mourns Former Police Affairs Minister, Navy Captain Olubolade

Late Olubolade, a former Minister of Police Affairs and one-time governorship aspirant in Ekiti State, died after a life of meritorious service to the nation.

In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Babajide Agbeyo, the Speaker described the deceased as a man of discipline, integrity and dedication to national development.

“Rtd. Navy Captain Olubolade’s death is a big blow to Ekiti State and a huge loss to the country. One is saddened by the disturbing news of the exit of a man whose longer stay would have translated to more value and quality counsel for our dear state,” Aribasoye said.

He said the former Bayelsa State Military Administrator lived a life of impact and service, both as a military officer and community leader, adding that his legacy would continue to inspire generations.

“He was a community leader with impact, a military officer with outputs, and a significant contributor to the promotion of good governance and national security,” he added.

While urging the bereaved family to take comfort in the good life their loved one lived, Aribasoye prayed for strength for them in this difficult time.

“It is my prayer that the Lord Almighty will grant the Ipoti community and the Olubolade family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” he said.
