Ekiti Servicom Greets Workers, Calls Attention To 2024 May Day Theme

Akin-Fasae explains that Servicom is an acronym for SERVICE COMPACT WITH ALL NIGERIANS, established in Nigeria by the Federal Governmen in 2004 and in the light of the understanding of the vision of the initiative, Governor Oyebanji approved its domestication in Ekiti State..

According to him, the main objective of Servicom is to enhance public service delivery and ensure the citizens receive efficient, timely, and transparent services.

Towards achieving this goal, the Technical Advisor Servicom noted that the government department, which is in the process of establishing desks in MDAs across the state, has the responsibility to ensure that public officers are empowered to be alert to their responsibilities in providing, improved, efficient, timely and transparent services.

As the world commemorates May Day, Akin-Fasae  is calling the attention of public officers in the state to the theme of this year’s International Labour Day which is, “Ensuring Safety and Health at Work in a Changing Climate”, explaining that the theme emphasises the critical importance of public officers being conscious of the impacts of climate change on workplace safety.

He therefore urged them to be proactive to ensure a safe and conducive working environment for the staff so as to be able to serve the public well.
