Ekiti NUT Chair Promises To Promote Culture As He Becomes Akoni Oodua

Following the good leadership qualities of the current Chairman of Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Ekiti State Chapter, Comrade Oke Emmanuel, a new feather has been added to his cap as he was recently conferred with the prestigious award of Akoni Oodua by the leadership of Yoruba Study Group, under the watch of a veteran actor, Chief Peter Fatomilola and Prof. Joshua Akinwale.

Fatomilola, described him as a unique personality with sterling qualities especially for how he has taken Ekiti NUT to an enviable height through his innovative ideas which has tremendously improved the welfare of teachers in the State.

‘Comrade Oke, is a Yoruba man who is doing everything possible to promote Yoruba culture and tradition among the teachers”.

In his response, Comrade Oke appreciated the Yoruba Cultural Group under the leadership of  chief Peter Fatomilola for counting him worthy for the honour.

Considering the award as a honour well deserved, the number one teacher in Ekiti therefore, promised to put in more effort at improving the welfare of teachers in the state by embarking on more  programmes as he equally pledged to do more in promoting Yoruba culture and tradition.
