The Special Assistant on Social Media to Ekiti State Governor, Oluwasegun Aina has contributed his quota to the dreams of young pupils seeking admission into higher institutions of learning by giving out cash to thirty students to obtain JAMB forms in his constituency.
The event which took place at the Palace of Oba John Falore Adegbenro Ajigbade III, the Olufaki of Ifaki-Ekiti Ekiti on Saturday, the 1st of March 2025 witnessed about 30 young people who received N8,000 each to enable them register for this year’s JAMB examinations.
Speaking while handing over the cash to the beneficiaries, Oluwasegun Aina said his love for youths and education propelled him into rendering assistance in his little way to encourage young minds from his constituency to prioritize education and shun social vices bedeviling the society.
The beneficiaries who were drawn from Ifaki, Orin, Odo-Ora, Oke-Ora, Ilogun, Aaye, Ifishin, Igbole and Ido-Ekiti have shown interest to be captured in the ongoing JAMB registration exercise, and to ensure their dreams are not quashed untimely, prompted the need to encourage them by paying for their registration.
“Education remains the best empowerment that could be given to youths, I decided to embark on the exercise as a means of helping some of my people by complimenting the efforts of our indefatigable Governor, Biodun Oyebanji’s led- administration in Ekiti State.”
Aina while speaking to the young Nigerians, gave an insight on how his Principal assisted him for his Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism at the International Institute of Journalism, IIJ Abuja and his efforts to his nearly completed Masters Degree Programme in Mass Communication at Nasarawa State University, Keffi.
He therefore urged them to be more focused and utilize the good gesture towards a better future noting that the future is for those who are ready to utilize the opportunity of today.
Oba Adegbenro in his speech congratualted the beneficiaries by also applauding Governor Oyebanji for appointing Oluwasegun Aina whom he described as a role model in the community.
The beneficiaries one after the other thanked Governor Oyebanji while praying for his re-election success come next year Governorship Election for continuation of his giant strides in the state.
Also in attendance was the President of Ifaki Student’s Union, Comrade Oluwatosin Samuel Ojo and President of National Association of Ido/Osi Local Government Students, Comrade Ige Oluwasegun Anthony, they both expressed appreciation to the facilitator describing him as Propeller of innovative developments.
