The lawmaker representing Ado Constituency I in the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Hon. Ayodeji Adegbite, has expressed concern over the delayed implementation and non-compliance with Assembly resolutions by some state ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs).

Adegbite noted this trend undermines legislative oversight, hampers service delivery to citizens, and impedes progress in the state.

He emphasized that Assembly resolutions embody the collective will of the people and are crucial for ensuring accountability, effective policy implementation, and improved service delivery.
The Lawmaker presented a motion on the floor of the House, recommending formal transmission of resolutions to relevant MDAs with clear timelines, systematic monitoring by House Committees, and periodic reporting on compliance.
The motion also advocated for constructive engagement with agencies facing implementation challenges and closer collaboration between the legislature and the executive.
Adegbite stressed that this initiative aligns with Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s agenda for good governance, emphasizing the shared responsibility of all government arms and public institutions to serve citizens effectively.
He reaffirmed his commitment to legislative actions promoting responsible governance, institutional efficiency, and improved quality of life for Ekiti residents.
