
Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeoye Aribasoye, has expressed deep concern over the widespread destruction caused by the recent rainstorm across the state, sympathizing with affected residents.
In a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Babajide Agbeyo, Aribasoye praised Governor Biodun Oyebanji for his prompt response and assured that the Assembly would collaborate closely with the executive to drive relief efforts and recovery initiatives.
He emphasized the Assembly’s commitment to providing legislative backing and oversight to ensure swift interventions, including engaging emergency agencies like SEMA and NEMA.
Calling for collective support from stakeholders, Aribasoye encouraged victims to remain resilient, assuring that the disaster would not define Ekiti’s future but instead highlight its enduring spirit of unity and hope.
