The Aramoko Elite Youth Foum, has reaffirmed its commitment to community development by expressing its readiness to addressing deteriorating roads within the town.
This was made known on Sunday at a Town hall meeting held at the Aramoko Civic Center, Aramoko Ekiti in Ekiti West Local Government of Ekiti State, where members expressed disappointment over the absence of the political leaders who conveyed the meeting.
The forum as part of the resolutions made available to journalists by its General Secretary, Elder Olamilekan Kolawole, requests construction of Aramoko township roads, urging Governor Biodun Oyebanji to include it in the 2026 budget.
The forum equally mandated Aramoko scholars and other stakeholders to work on setting up a university satellite campus in the town noting that it would not only boost the economy of the town but also facilitate growth and development.
The Forum further urged the state government to establish an Entrepreneurship Center in Aramoko Ekiti to serve as incubator for innovation, a hub for skills acquisition, and a platform for empowering the youth and women. Adding that It would also provide mentorship, access to credit, digital training, and opportunities for small businesses.
The meeting which was presided over by the Forum President, Tajuden Bamigbola, and Elder Sesan Abegunde, the leader of youth home and abroad, assured that all the agitations would be conveyed to the Alara-in-Council, and other relevant stakeholders.
Other contributors which include notable community figures such as Mr. Oladele Mayowa, Yunusa Babatunde Sheu and Mr. Oyewole Babajide, emphasized the importance of collective responsibility by urging residents to pool resources for the advancement and wellbeing of Aramoko-Ekiti.
While commending the Senate Leader, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, Professor Femi Akinwumi and other Professors in the town for their support, they however pledged their continued commitment to the peace and progress of the town.
“We will support the government, uphold our traditions, and contribute our energy and intellect to the growth of Aramoko Ekiti”. The forum pledged.
