The Police command in Bauchi, has warned miscreants and disgruntled elements that may want to leverage on Eid-el-Kabir celebration to perpetrate nefarious activities to stay away from the state.
The warning is contained in a statement issued by ASP Aminu Ahmed, the acting Police Public Relations Officer in Bauchi.
The command reiterated it’s commitment to decisively deal with anyone caught trying to go against their warning.
He said in realisation of this, the command has ordered massive deployment of conventional personnel and it’s tactical teams to various strategic places, especially, areas that are susceptible to attacks.
According to him, the conventional police personnel and tactical teams include; the Rapid Response Team (RRS), Anti-kidnapping Unit (AKU), Operation Restore Peace (ORS).
Others are; Police Mobile Force (PMF) and Explosives Ordinance Disposal and Chemical Biological radioactive Nuclear (EOD&CBRN).
“Consequently, Operation Order has been issued, while Area Commanders, Tactical Commanders and DPOs have been directed to ensure apparent visibility policing during the festive period.
“This should be done through constant supervision of officers and men deployed for the season with regards to standard operating procedures.
“In the same vein, the Command wishes to reiterate its aggressive stance to decisively descend on anyone found breaching public peace, law and order, before, during and after the festive period,”he said.
Ahmed added that the Police felicitated with Muslim faithfuls in the State on Eid-el-Kabir celebration, and appreciated people of the state for their support and cooperation.
