
The Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Oba Adeyemo Adejugbe Aladesanmi lll, has called on all and sundry to embrace reflection, sacrifice and unity amid the Country’s economic and security challenges.
The monarch made the call while felicitating with Muslim faithful on the celebration of this year’s Eid-el Mubarak.
According to him, the fasting season presents an opportunity for self examination and renewal, saying the spirit of fasting and prayer should be sustained after this season.
The traditional ruler added that the attributes of Prophet Mohammed and the tenets of Islam must be the watchwords during the celebration to put joy on the faces of the downtrodden.
He also noted that peaceful co-existence is paramount to a healthy society, hence, the need to be at peace with one another at all times.
The Royal Father advised that people not be carried away with the festivities but be security conscious as security is everybody’s business.
Oba Adejugbe therefore, wished everyone peaceful celebration filled with laughter and joy of Allah.
