A ranking member of the House of Representatives, Hon Femi Bamisile, has rejoiced with rhe Muslim Ummah on Eid-el-Fitr celebration, which stands for and symbolises the end of Ramadan fasting.
For the 30 days of fasting and spiritual sacrifice to manifest positivity for the nation, Bamisile appealed to Muslims to remain unshakeable in their support and prayers for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other leaders across the strata of the Nigerian society.
The Chairman, House Committee on Delegated Legislation, said this in a statement issued by his Media office in Abuja, on Saturday, congratulating the Muslims over successful ending of the Ramadan fast.
Speaking about the spiritual significance of Ramadan, Bamisile said it was an eye opener that all Nigerians must be pious, sacrificial, honest, generous and maintain good neighbourliness, for Nigeria to assume a positive dimension of prosperity and development.
Particularly, Bamisile urged Ekiti Muslims to be relentless in their prayers and guidance for Governor Biodun Oyebanji to be able implement the laudable programmes for the citizens without hindrance and under a violence- free atmosphere.
The Lawmaker representing Ekiti South Federal Constituency II, warned that no nation can grow under the burdens of pervasive corruption and selfishness, describing these as the bane of development of the Nigerian nation.
He was upbeat that with Nigerians, particularly those in leadership positions, embracing honesty and selfless leadership, that Nigeria will become a nation of pride, not only in Africa, but across the globe.
Bamisile congratulated the Muslims in Ekiti and Nigeria over successful completion of Ramadan, praying to God to grant all their heart desires for personal and national growth and development.
“On behalf of my family, I congratulate our Muslim brothers and sisters in Ekiti State and Nigeria at large for successful completion of the Ramadan fasting.
“We all know that this spiritual rite stands for honesty, holiness, selflessness, kindness, humility and generosity. We should allow these to continually reflect in our lives. For your sacrifices and participations not to be futile, allow these virtues to radiate in your lives beyond these 30 days.
“What we need at this point is for all hands to be on the deck for the renewed Hope agenda of President Tinubu to bear the expected fruits. He needs the support of every Nigerian for this to be actualised and our Muslim brothers are needed under this context.
“I congratulate you on this feat and wish you Allah’s guidance in all your current and future exploits”.
