According to a statement issued on Friday by EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale, the operation was based on credible intelligence that the location was being used to train individuals in internet fraud and related criminal activities.

During the raid, the operatives seized six luxury vehicles, multiple laptops, and mobile phones believed to be tools used in perpetrating cybercrimes.

Oyewale emphasized the EFCC’s determination to combat the rising sophistication of internet fraud in the region. “We will ensure thorough investigations and bring the suspects to court as soon as possible,” he said.

Public Cooperation Needed

The EFCC urged Nigerians to remain vigilant and provide credible information to support its efforts in tackling cybercrime. The commission also reiterated its commitment to dismantling criminal syndicates and restoring public confidence in the fight against financial crimes.

This latest crackdown is part of the agency’s broader strategy to curb cybercrime and uphold the rule of law in Nigeria. Investigations are ongoing to determine the extent of the suspects’ criminal activities and their networks.
