
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has confirmed the arrest of social media personality Martins Vincent, popularly known as VDM, following multiple petitions filed against him.
EFCC spokesperson Dele Oyewale told the BBC that VDM was apprehended to answer to various allegations.
He emphasized that the arrest aligns with the agency’s statutory duties and confirmed that VDM will face charges in court.
“He will be released once he meets his bail conditions,” Oyewale added. VDM was arrested on May 2, 2025, at a bank in Abuja.
