Easter season commemorates the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. It’s also a period to appreciate God’s love for mankind for sending His only begotten Son to live and teach us how to love one another, and bear the burden of humanity by laying down His life for the remission of our sins.
The Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Oba Adeyemo Adejugbe Aladesanmi lll, stated this in his goodwill message to Christians on the celebration of this year’s Easter.
According to him, the true meaning of Easter is about Jesus Christ’s love for mankind, the purpose and peace he gives.
The monarch therefore called on all Christians to show love to people around, care for the needy and ensure peaceful Co-existence in line with the spirit of the season.
He also urged everyone to look beyond the hardships of the moment and draw strength from faith that things will get better in the Country.
The traditional ruler who pointed out that crimes in the country are on the high side called on the Christians and religious leaders to continue to pray for an end to incessant killings in the Society.
Oba Adejugbe wishes all and sundry a happy Easter Celebration, prays for the renewal of faith and joy that has no end. Adding that God’s peace and love should rest upon everyone.
