Dangote Refinery Exports PMS To Cameroon

In a statement yesterday, Dangote Refinery highlighted that this achievement was the result of a strategic partnership aimed at strengthening economic ties between Nigeria and Cameroon while addressing the region’s growing energy needs.

Alhaji Aliko Dangote, President and CEO of Dangote Group, described the development as a realization of a broader vision for Africa.

He said, “This first export of PMS to Cameroon is a tangible demonstration of our vision for a united and energy-independent Africa. With this development, we are laying the foundation for a future where African resources are refined and exchanged within the continent for the benefit of our people.”

Antoine Ndzengue, Director and Owner of Neptune Oil, expressed pride in the partnership and its implications for Cameroon.

Ndzengue stated ,“This collaboration with Dangote Refinery marks a turning point for our country. By becoming the first importer of petroleum products from this world-class refinery, we are bolstering Cameroon’s energy security and supporting local economic development. This initial supply, executed without international intermediaries, underscores our commitment to serving our markets independently and efficiently.”

The partnership aims to go beyond this first export, as both companies explore additional initiatives to establish a sustainable supply chain. These efforts are expected to help stabilize fuel prices and create economic opportunities across the region.

For Nigeria, this milestone highlights Dangote Refinery’s capacity to meet domestic fuel demand while solidifying its position as a major player in the regional energy market.

The export also represents a step forward in promoting high-quality, locally sourced petroleum products within Africa.
