Otunba Oluwadare Owolabi, aspirant for Ekiti North Senatorial District in 2027, has congratulated Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji following the court’s affirmation of his candidacy for the 2026 Governorship Election in Ekiti State.
In a statement issued Wednesday on behalf of his campaign team and supporters, Otunba Owolabi described the ruling as “a moment of great relief and pride, not only for members of the All Progressives Congress but for all who believe in justice, fairness, and the rule of law.
“The judgment reflects the strength of our democratic institutions and the confidence in your leadership,” the statement read.
Owolabi said Governor Oyebanji’s tenure has been marked by visible efforts to move Ekiti State forward, with a strong focus on development, unity, and inclusive governance.
He added that the court’s affirmation is “a well-earned recognition of your dedication and the impact of your work on the lives of Ekiti Kete.”
“As Ekiti continues on this path, I am confident that your leadership will bring even more progress and lasting development to our state.
“Please accept my warm and heartfelt congratulations,” Owolabi stated.
