The Vice-Chancellor of the Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti, Prof. Olufemi Adeoluwa has reaffirmed the commitment of the University Management to human capacity development as part of its efforts to make BOUESTI top notch.
The Vice-Chancellor made this known during a special prayer programme tagged “BOUESTI PRAYS,” held at the University Sports Pavilion.
He said the University Management would continue to create an enabling environment for career development and professionalism, noting that the tally of Ph.D holders in the citadel of learning had increased considerably recently while some academic members of staff were on the verge of completing their programmes.
The Vice Chancellor remarked that the June 2018 salary arrears owned the Staff had been paid while the University has also implemented the financial effect of the 2022 promotion in order to motivate members of staff.
Prof. Adeoluwa attributed the soaring profile of BOUESTI vis-a-vis the attendant laurels and recognition within and outside the shores of Nigeria to divine benevolence and grace
He said “BOUESTI recently won the 2023 Outstanding University of Education in Africa award in Kigali, Rwanda and that the University was also nominated as one of the Outstanding Universities in Nigeria by the Guardian Newspaper”
The Vice Chancellor affirmed that the institution will also be conferred with the award of the most Outstanding State University in the South West region in the forthcoming maiden edition of the Nigeria Hemisphere Award.
He hinted that the University would play host to the representative of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo (Minister of Trade, Industries and Investment) for the commissioning of a TETFUND-Sponsored projects in the University and urged members of staff to be of good conduct while expressing optimism that the engagement would bring forth more blessings to the University.
He pointed out that the University was expecting the report of the Resource Verification exercise in respect of the proposed new programmes and assured that it would buoy up enrolment into the University.
