As Christians all over the world celebrate Easter, the Vice-Chancellor of the Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti, Prof. Olufemi Adeoluwa has felicitated all members of staff and students of the University for witnessing this year’s Easter celebration.
Prof. Adeoluwa, in a special message, stated that the lenten season which culminated in the Pascha feast offered an opportunity to reflect on God’s unwavering love for humanity by sacrificing His only begotten son for the salvation of souls. He noted that the resurrection of Jesus Christ emphasises redemptive blessings, love, tolerance, reconciliation and victory over sin and Satan.
According to him, “beyond the sumptuous meals and joyous revelry, we should soberly reflect on our deeds and conduct, to see if they conform with God’s commandments and purpose for existence”.
He admonished members of staff and students to walk perfectly with God and strive to exude practical show of love, tolerance and godliness.
