BOUESTI Partners Private Construction Firm to Build 10 Blocks of Hostels

The Vice-Chancellor of the University, Prof. Babatunde Omojola said the agreement was in line with efforts to provide more bed spaces and befitting accommodation for students on campus. He described the initiative as a timely intervention that aligns with the University’s vision of expanding infrastructure through strategic partnerships.

Prof. Omojola commended Azendus Systems Limited for its interest in contributing to the institution’s development and expressed optimism that the project would help address the growing demand for quality student accommodation, adding the plan of the University is to have over 90 percent of its students resident on campus. The VC stressed that the University has a student population of about 23, 000 but the available hostel bed spaces cannot accommodate half of them, saying that a vast majority of the students are living off-campus. “Given that most of them are teenagers and young adults, you can imagine some of the challenges we are facing”, he added.

Speaking on the noble initiative, the Team Lead of Azendux Systems Limited, Prince Sehinde Adewole expressed the company’s commitment to delivering a modern, safe and conducive hostel facility that would significantly enhance students’ welfare and support the institution’s drive towards academic excellence. He praised  the University Management for finding their firm worthy of the partnership.

Prince Adewale assured that the company will not betray the trust and confidence placed on them.

The proposed 10-block hostel project is expected to provide comfortable and secure living spaces for students while strengthening collaboration between the University and the private sector to develop infrastructure.
