Authorities of the Bamidele Olumilua University of Education Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti say the resumption date for the 2023/2024 second semester has not changed contrary to false information being bandied on the social media.
A statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the University, Temitope Akinbisoye said all the students are expected back on campus on 12th of August,2024 urging members of the public to disregard any circular announcing a new resumption date as been circulated describing it as fake .
The circular, according to him, incorrectly states that the resumption date has been further postponed to August 23, 2024.
He said “Please, be informed that this information is false and should be disregarded as it is the handiwork of mischief makers”.
He reiterated that the official resumption date remains August 12, 2024, as previously announced stressing that any other information circulating contrary to this is unauthorized and misleading.
