President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed the military to eliminate banditry and insecurity across Nigeria by the end of 2025.
Minister of Defence, Abubakar Badaru, revealed this in a viral video, stating that the armed forces will intensify operations against criminal elements.
“The bandits are on the run, but the military will not relent until they are completely flushed out,” Badaru assured.
He added that the Chief of Defence Staff and the National Security Adviser are working round the clock to achieve the target, with intensified pressure on all theatres of operation.
Badaru also confirmed that mining activities have resumed in Zamfara, emphasizing the government’s commitment to restoring security nationwide.
