BABA IJESHA: TAMPAN Lifts Ban On Nkechi Blessing

The issue originated in 2021, when Blessing became involved in a social media dispute with fellow actor Kehinde Adams, also known as Lege Miami, concerning the arrest of another actor, Baba Ijesha.

Baba Ijesha was convicted of assaulting a minor. Following this, Nkechi Blessing’s public criticism of TAMPAN led to her suspension.

Recently, at the Nigerian Canadian Celebrities Entertainment Awards in Toronto, Nkechi Blessing offered a public apology to TAMPAN.

In a widely shared video, the 35-year-old actress is seen kneeling before TAMPAN President Bolaji Amusan, popularly known as Mr. Latin, asking for forgiveness.

The actress expressed gratitude for the association’s positive impact on her career and showed sincere remorse for her actions.

“I am deeply sorry for all I did. I am so sorry. I beg you from the bottom of my heart to please forgive me. I appreciate the industry. You all made me who I am today. I would not be anyone if not because of you,” she said.

Amusan and Odunlade Adekola, his colleague, took to the stage to embrace Blessing. Adekola praised Blessing for acknowledging her mistakes.

Amusan also welcomed Blessing back into the association, commending her “courage” in a post on Instagram.

“I commend and admire your courage… welcome on board!!!” he wrote.
