APPOINTMENT: Senate Confirms Tinubu’s 21 Commissioners For RMAFC

The confirmation followed the presentation and review of the report from the Joint Committee on National Planning, Economic Affairs, and Finance on the nominations for appointment as Federal Commissioners in the Revenue Mobilization, Allocation, and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).

Senator Yahaya Abdullahi, while  presenting the report,  said, “That the Senate do receive and consider the report of the Joint Committee on National Planning and Economic Affairs and Finance on the confirmation of the nominations for appointment as Federal Commissioners in the Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).”

Recall that President Bola Tinubu had appointed 21 federal Commissioners to the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission, pending their confirmation by the Senate.

Those confirmed by the Senate on Wednesday as Federal Commissioners are Linda Oti (Abia), Akpan Effiong (Akwa Ibom), Enefe Ekene (Anambra), Prof. Steve Ugba (Benue), Chief Eyonsa (Cross-River), Aruviere Egharhevwe (Delta), Nduka Awuregu (Ebonyi), Victor Eboigbe (Edo), Wumi Ogunlola (Ekiti), Ozo Obodougo (Enugu) and Kabir Mohammed Mashi (Katsina).

Others are Adamu Fanda (Kano), Professor Olusegun Kunle Wright (Lagos), Aliyu Abdulkadir (Nasarawa), Bako Shetima (Niger), Amosun Akeem Akintayo (Ogun), Nathaniel Adejutelegan (Ondo), Saad Ibrahim (Plateau), Modu-Aji Juluri (Yobe), Bello Garba (Zamfara) and Mohammed Usman (Gombe).

The President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio  in his remarks,  urged the new Commissioners to give their best in the job ahead of them, however, asked them to be good ambassadors of their states and the country.
