APC Ondo Ward Suspends State Chairman

In a suspension letter signed by Ward Chairman Olabisi Adepegba, Vice Chairman Olabisi Oyewole, Secretary Olanrewaju Akinnuoye, and 12 other executive members, the group emphasized their decision followed an emergency meeting to address concerns about Adetimehin’s conduct.

However, the APC’s State Director of Publicity, Steve Otaloro, has dismissed the suspension, describing it as unconstitutional and lacking in due process.

“This action is not only constitutionally flawed but also undermines the principles of fairness and due process that our party upholds,” Otaloro stated, adding that the Ofosu Ward Exco failed to adhere to the party’s established guidelines for such measures.

Otaloro further argued that the allegations lacked sufficient evidence, suggesting the move was driven by personal grievances rather than legitimate concerns.

“We want to reiterate that Engr. Ade Adetimehin remains the rightful Chairman of the APC in Ondo State,” he affirmed. “His leadership is vital as we prepare for the upcoming local government elections, and we remain focused on achieving victory for our party.”

Calling for calm, Otaloro urged party members in Idanre Local Government to avoid retaliatory actions against those involved in the suspension, assuring that disciplinary measures would be taken where necessary.

“Our priority remains ensuring a peaceful and successful campaign for the local government elections,” he concluded.
