
The organisers of the prestigious Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) have officially announced the nominees for the 2025 edition. This annual event celebrates outstanding achievements in film, television, and digital content across the African entertainment industry.
The nominations recognize projects released between January 1 and December 31, 2024. Among the leading contenders are Lisabi: The Uprising, Skeleton Coast, House of Ga’a, and Freedom Way, each securing multiple nominations in key categories such as Best Movie and Best Director.
In the acting categories, Gideon Okeke (Tokunbo), Stan Nze (Suspicion), Femi Adebayo (Seven Doors), and Adedimeji Lateef (Lisabi: The Uprising) will compete for Best Lead Actor. For Best Lead Actress, notable names include Chioma Chukwuka (Seven Doors), Bimbo Ademoye (Anikulapo: Rise of the Spectre), and Uche Montana (Thinline).
