ADC Denies Coalition With El-rufai’sSDP Ahead of Bye-Elections

In a statement on Friday, the State Chairman, Mr. Ahmad Tijjani Mustapha, described reports of an alliance between the two parties as false and misleading.

He said the claim, allegedly linked to former Kaduna State governor, Nasiru El-Rufai, was aimed at confusing the public, stressing that El-Rufai is neither a member nor an official of the ADC.

“The ADC in Kaduna State is not in any coalition or alliance with the SDP or any other political party in the state. There is no written or verbal agreement to that effect,” he stated.

Mustapha warned that such misinformation could undermine the party’s chances in the elections and said the matter would be reported to the appropriate authorities, noting that the ADC constitution prohibits members from belonging to more than one political party.

He urged voters in Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency and Zaria Kewaye and Basawa State Constituencies to disregard the “false claims” and turn out in large numbers to vote for ADC candidates.

The chairman also appealed to party members to remain focused, law-abiding, and comply with all Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) regulations before, during, and after the polls.
