Afrobeat musician and social activist, Seun Kuti, has stirred reactions online after declaring that he has never prayed in his life, saying he does not believe prayer works.
The singer made the statement in a video that has since gone viral, where he criticised public displays of worship, describing them as eye service and childish behaviour.

According to Seun, kneeling down, rolling on the ground and shouting during prayers do not make a person spiritual, adding that such actions do not reflect true morality or values.
He argued that being a good person is the real meaning of prayer, stressing that how people live their lives and treat others matters more than religious rituals.
“Your life is the prayer. What you do with your life is the prayer,” Seun Kuti said, insisting that actions and character outweigh outward religious practices.
