Ekiti Commissioner Renews Commitment To  Conducive Environment

The Ekiti State Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Hon. Tosin Ajisafe-Aluko, says her commitment to ensuring that the State ranks among one of the cleanest States in Nigeria  remains fundamental to the  present administration of the State.

The Commissioner advanced this when members of the Online Media Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Ekiti State Council, paid her a courtesy visit in her office in Ado-Ekiti.

She said while special focus should be beamed on Ado-Ekiti metropolis as the State capital, some parts of the State will not be neglected as they will benefit from efforts to contain indiscriminate refuse disposal considering their strategic positions and importance of hygienic environment to human existence.

The Commissioner unveiled efforts of her ministry toward ending indiscriminate dumping of refuse in Ado metropolis through the restoration of the mobile court for instant trial of offenders, provision of refuse bins,monitoring officials among others.

She commended the state governor, Biodun Oyebanji for the appreciable level he has taken the state so far through his developmental programmes that  have been touching the lives of the people irrespective of political leanings. Adding that paying attention to the needs of the citizenry calls for reciprocation by the people by intensifying their support for the administration.

The Commissioner solicited the support of the Online Media Practitioners in the State for the projection of her ministry through positive reportage, and by extension to Oyebanji’s administration.

Responding, the team led by the Chairman of the Chapel, Comrade Ayodele Abere assured the Commissioner and all other management staff of the ministry of adequate support in information dissemination.
