The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has reduced the pump price of petrol at its retail outlets to N865 per litre in Lagos and N890 per litre in Abuja.
The new prices represent a N10 cut from the previous rates of N875 per litre in Lagos and N900 per litre in Abuja.
Checks on Friday showed that petrol was sold for N865 per litre at the NNPC station in Abule Ado, Lagos, while the Federal Housing Authority, Kubwa, Abuja outlet dispensed the product at N890 per litre.
The latest adjustment comes after the NNPC, on August 6, reduced prices to N875 and N900 per litre in Lagos and Abuja, two days after raising them to N915 and N955 per litre, respectively.
Similarly, on August 12, Dangote Petroleum Refinery reduced its petrol price to N820 per litre, six days after increasing it to N850.
