Two persons on a motorcycle escaped death by whiskers, but were critically injured in a solo accident at the popular Fajuyi Bridge in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti capital.
According to an Officer of the Ekiti State Traffic Management Agency, who craved anonymity, the motorcyclist was coming from Basiri axis before he lost control and hit his head on the side of the bridge close to Ojumose area of Ado-Ekiti.
The officer stated that the accident left the motorcyclist in a critical condition, with blood gushing from different parts of his head and thighs.
Eyewitness accounts has it that the passenger lost one of his legs before men of the Western Security Network (Amotekun) came to their rescue and took them to Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital for emergency treatment.
According to the Officer, I can not really say how it happened, but the Okada rider was left in a critical condition with his jaw badly affected, while his thighs was rid open.
“Even, the passenger got his leg broken, in fact condemned before Amotekun people came to pick them to Teaching Hospital for emergency treatment.
“If you look on the bridge, you can see a lot of blood stain, but has been covered with sand by his colleagues.”
No one can tell maybe it was as a result of over-speeding, but there were speculations that he was receiving calls with his phone while riding.
