FULL LIST: Police Commission Promotes Three CPs to AIGs, 16 DCPs to CPs

CP Ahmed, from Katsina State, previously served as Deputy Commissioner of Operations in Enugu and Oyo States. CP Iwo held key positions, including CP Counter-Terrorism Unit and CP Edo State Command, while CP Dogo was formerly CP General Intelligence, Force CID, and CP Kano State.

In addition, 16 Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs) were elevated to the rank of Commissioner of Police (CP). The newly promoted CPs include Cyriacus Enechukwu, Gombit Kopshella Bangs, Eloho Edwin Okpoziakpo, Mamman Bitrus Giwa, Rosemary Okpoho Akpan, Umar Hassan Kabir, Usman Kanfani Jibrin, Naziru Abdulmajid, Osadolor Olaye, Modi Jonathan Filiya, Sani Omolori, Hassan Gwani Saleh, Hammed Sule, Ayodele Rowland Adeyemi, and Justine Obiora Oranwusi.

The promotions were approved during an extraordinary PSC meeting chaired by DIG Hashimu Argungu (rtd) and attended by Justice Paul Adamu Galumje (rtd), DIG Taiwo Lakanu (rtd), and Commission Secretary Chief Onyemuchi Nnamani.

PSC Chairman Argungu warned the newly promoted officers against meddling in civil disputes, including land, marital, and debt-related matters, emphasizing that such cases should be handled by the courts.

He assured that the Commission would monitor their conduct while supporting them to deliver on their duties.
