FG Appoints Ekiti as Pilot State for Agriculture in Southwest

The governor made this announcement during the January edition of the monthly Evening of Praise and Worship programme, held at the Lady Jibowu hall in the Government House, Ado Ekiti.

Governor Oyebanji attributed the state’s progress and achievements to God’s grace, describing Ekiti as a model of good governance, accountability, and integrity in Nigeria.

He acknowledged divine guidance in the reforms and initiatives that have notably elevated the state’s status and improved the lives of its citizens.

The governor highlighted the administration’s successes in infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, and economic empowerment, which have contributed to better living standards for residents.

He credited the ongoing divine support to the milestones achieved by his government over the past two years, emphasizing that these efforts have made Ekiti a recognized beacon of good governance in the country.

While noting the state’s continued peace and progress, Oyebanji called on the people to remain united, continue supporting the administration’s vision, and pray for sustained development.

The governor also shared other positive updates, including the promotion of the state’s Secretary to the Government to the rank of Professor of Chemistry, the appointment of the Senate Leader as a Life Bencher by the Nigerian Body of Benchers, and the upcoming 60th birthday of former Governor Kayode Fayemi.

On the agriculture front, Oyebanji expressed his excitement about the federal government’s recent decision to appoint Ekiti as a pilot state for agricultural development in the Southwest. He concluded by emphasizing the state’s commitment to good governance and the continued support of its people for a prosperous future.
