The lawmaker representing Ekiti North Senatorial District, Senator Cyril Fasuyi, has been conferred with the chieftaincy title of ‘Omoluka’ of Ilamo Kingdom in Ikole Local Government Area of Ekiti State.
The Alamo of Ilamo, His Royal Majesty Oba Adebayo Awoseyila, bestowed the honour on the senator in recognition of his contributions to the development of the kingdom and Ekiti State at large.
Speaking at the ceremony, which was held at the Alamo Palace, Oba Awoseyila commended Senator Fasuyi for his dedication to the progress of his people and his remarkable leadership qualities.
“His commitment to the welfare of his constituents and his ability to amplify the voice of Ekiti North on national and international platforms are commendable,” the monarch stated.
To further strengthen the bond between the senator and the Ilamo community, Oba Awoseyila presented him with an autographed copy of his newly published book.
Represented at the event by Hon. Ajisola Olusola, Senator Fasuyi expressed his gratitude to the monarch and the people of Ilamo for the honour. He reaffirmed his commitment to serving his constituents and improving their quality of life.
Dignitaries present to receive the title on behalf of the senator included Hon. Amos Arowosafe, Chief DST Adeyemo, and several others.
