
President Bola Tinubu, on Friday in Abuja, commended the Finnish government for the arrest and detention of Simon Ekpa, emphasizing that Nigeria will not tolerate divisive actions or statements.
Speaking while receiving the Finnish Ambassador to Nigeria, Ms. Sanna Selin, at the State House, Tinubu praised Finland’s intervention, which safeguarded Nigeria’s integrity and promoted peaceful coexistence.
Tinubu also welcomed Letters of Credence from the Ambassadors of the European Union, Mr. Gautier Mignot, and Algeria, Mr. Hocine Mezoued, emphasizing cooperation in economic growth, security, and regional development.
He urged collaboration on key initiatives like the trans-Saharan African Gas Pipeline and digitalization, reaffirming Nigeria’s commitment to reforms that foster stability and prosperity.
