…Sets Sights on Innovative, Globally Competitive Postgraduate Education
The Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti (BOUESTI), has taken another significant step in its academic expansion with the resumption of pioneer postgraduate students for the 2026/2027 academic session, marking the commencement of a new chapter in the University’s pursuit of advanced learning, research and intellectual development.
The Provost College of Post graduate Studies, Professor Adekunle Adegun in a statement made available to newsmen said the commencement of postgraduate programmes represents a major milestone in the University’s steady transformation into a comprehensive institution of higher learning, expanding its academic offerings beyond undergraduate education to provide opportunities for advanced scholarship, specialised training and research-driven knowledge creation.
According to him the development follows the approval granted by the National Universities Commission (NUC) for the University to commence Postgraduate Diploma (PGD), Master’s and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) programmes in 33 academic programmes.
Prof. Adegun, said BOUESTI was poised to redefine the parameters of graduate education through innovative delivery mechanisms, contemporary academic practices and learning models responsive to the demands of a rapidly evolving knowledge economy.
He said the University’s postgraduate education framework was deliberately designed to transcend conventional boundaries of academic engagement, with emphasis on flexibility, accessibility, technological innovation and global relevance.
