The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has unveiled Honourable Olonitola Olakunle Damola as its candidate for the House of Assembly, Ikole Constituency 1, ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
Olonitola, who is campaigning on the mantra of “Service to the People”, has promised to prioritise peace, health, sound economy, promotion and prosperity for the people of Ikole Constituency 1 if elected.
According to his campaign team, his aspiration is driven by a commitment to responsive representation, inclusive governance and people-centred legislation that will directly impact the lives of constituents.
The candidate also urged voters in the constituency to support the party’s presidential candidate, Mr Peter Obi, in his bid to become President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“Vote wisely, your future depends on it. Vote NDC, together we can achieve a new Nigeria,” the campaign message stated.
Supporters of the party say the NDC is offering Nigerians a credible alternative anchored on accountability, good governance and sustainable development.
