….As Hashim’s posters flood Dutse amid talks of ‘Tinubu Must Go’ rally

Political activities ahead of the 2027 presidential election are gaining momentum in Jigawa State as campaign posters of the presidential candidate of Accord, Dr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, have taken over major streets in Dutse and other parts of the state.

The development comes amid growing speculations over a planned ‘Tinubu Must Go’ rally and heightened mobilisation by supporters of the Accord candidate.
The poster campaign followed a stakeholders’ engagement meeting held in Dutse, which brought together leaders of various support groups to strategise ahead of Hashim’s presidential campaign activities in the state.
Speaking with journalists at the meeting, Accord senatorial candidate, Comrade Aminu Aminu, expressed confidence in Hashim’s electoral prospects, declaring that the Accord candidate has the capacity to defeat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Jigawa in 2027.
According to him, sustained grassroots mobilisation, broader public engagement and effective coordination among support groups would strengthen Accord’s chances in the state.
Aminu, who also coordinates the Hashim Progressive Movement, said the group has set a target of mobilising six million votes for Hashim across the seven states of the North West, comprising Jigawa, Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto and Zamfara.
He noted that the ongoing visibility drive through posters and other campaign materials is aimed at taking Hashim’s message beyond political meetings to voters across the state.
Meanwhile, the speculated ‘Tinubu Must Go’ rally is adding a new dimension to the political atmosphere in Jigawa, as stakeholders watch unfolding developments.
Political observers say the combination of increased campaign visibility, stakeholders’ consultations, and the ambitious regional vote target indicates a coordinated effort by Hashim’s supporters to mount a formidable challenge in the North West ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
