Speaking at the unveiling, Fayose said his decision to contest was driven by the need to translate his political experience into practical and measurable federal representation that directly improves the lives of constituents.

He described the bid as “a movement to restore governance to the people, drive impactful policy reforms, and secure sustainable development for our constituency.”

“Ekiti is at a critical crossroads that requires bold leadership, integrity and a legislative voice capable of articulating and defending the aspirations of the people,” he said.

Fayose outlined a four-pillar agenda to guide his legislative representation:

Robust Advocacy: Championing legislation and policies to stimulate economic growth, create jobs, and improve livelihoods.

Rigorous Oversight: Holding government agencies accountable and ensuring responsible deployment of public resources.

Resource Attraction: Attracting federal projects and interventions in infrastructure, healthcare, and other critical areas to the constituency.

Citizens’ Inclusion: Establishing regular town-hall meetings to enable direct engagement with constituents and incorporate their input into legislative positions.

“True representation cannot be bought, bartered, or inherited. It must be earned through consistent service, deep empathy, and a clear understanding of policy dynamics,” Fayose stated.

He further stressed the need for professional competence in the National Assembly, noting that effective lawmaking requires representatives who understand policy processes.

Fayose took a swipe at the incumbent member representing the constituency, Hon. Sola Fatoba, who is seeking a third term in office.

He alleged that Fatoba’s two-term scorecard was marked by abandoned constituency projects and unfulfilled empowerment initiatives, adding that the lawmaker does not deserve a third term.

“After two terms in office, our people deserve to see tangible projects that directly improve their lives,” he said.

Fayose urged voters in Ado and Irepodun/Ifelodun LGAs to assess the incumbent’s record and reject what he called the “third-term agenda.”

“Real change never happens by chance; it happens by choice. We must reject the stagnant politics of the past and embrace a future built on equity, accountability, and shared prosperity,” he said.

The campaign will run under the slogan: “Support the Future, Support Otunba Emmanuel Fayose for Better Representation.”

Fayose called on residents and stakeholders across the constituency to join the movement and support his ambition to deliver accountable, inclusive and development-oriented representation at the National Assembly.
