How 10 Died In Ibadan Collapsed Building

The incident which happened in the early hours of yesterday, left many others injured.
Vanguard gathered that seven victims were rescued from the rubble.

The building, according to information gathered collapsed at 2 a.m.

General Manager, Oyo State Fire Services, Rev. Akinyemi Akinyinka confirmed that he received distress calls from the people in the neighbourhood some minutes past two in the morning.

He said: “Oyo State Fire Services Agency received a distressed call at 2 a.m., at Jegede Olunloyo Area, Ibadan. Ten persons have been recovered from the debris of the collapsed building, while seven people were rescued alive.”

He added that rescuers were still working at the scene of the incident.
