The Apostle David Leadership Group, ADALG, has launched the first day of its August leadership series with a call for Nigerians to begin leadership from their immediate communities.
The 2026 edition, themed “Building Leaders, One Day at a Time”, opened on Friday with the topic: “Leadership Starts on Your Street.”

In his opening charge, Apostle Ayodele David-Adesua said true leadership is rooted in service, not in titles or positions.
“Leadership is not about sitting on a throne. It is about bending down to lift others up. If you want to lead a nation, first serve your street,” Apostle David-Adesua stated.
According to ADALG, while many aspire to lead at national level, few are willing to serve in small, everyday spaces. The group identified three proving grounds for leadership:
Home – Serving without being asked or begged
Workplace/Place of Worship– Taking responsibility without a title
Street/Community – Solving problems around you
“A leader is not the loudest voice. A leader is the most useful servant, the statement read.
As part of Day 1 activities, ADALG challenged participants to identify one problem on their street this week such as potholes, poor drainage, insecurity, or youth idleness and take one small step to address it without waiting for government intervention.
Participants were also asked to reflect on:”What is one thing I can do to serve my street this week?
The group added that things will get better this month and wishes everyone a happy New Month of August 2026.
ADALG runs daily leadership nuggets throughout August via its WhatsApp channel to build ethical leadership and civic responsibility among youths and professionals across Nigeria.
