Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, on Monday evening paid a courtesy visit to the African Democratic Congress, ADC, candidate in the just concluded governorship election, Ambassador Dare Bejide, at his residence in Ado-Ekiti.

The visit was in fulfillment of the Governor’s commitment to reach out to all contestants in the election and seek their cooperation and input in the governance of the state.

Governor Oyebanji was accompanied by the Special Adviser on Political Matters, Chief Jide Awe. He was received by Ambassador Bejide.
The two leaders discussed issues relating to the development of the state and ways to deepen collaboration for the benefit of Ekiti people.

Recall that shortly after the official announcement of the June 20, 2026 governorship election, Governor Oyebanji had reached out by telephone to the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Dr. Wole Oluyede, and the ADC, Ambassador Bejide, with a promise to follow up with personal visits.
The Governor has since visited Dr. Oluyede at his residence with some leaders of the party, before Monday’s visit to Ambassador Bejide.

The government reiterated its resolve to run an inclusive administration that harnesses ideas from across the political spectrum.
