Bamisile Salutes Ekiti APC Caucus For Endorsing Oyebanji For Second Term

The Chairman, House Committee on Delegated Legislation, stated that the unanimous endorsement by high profile politicians in the progressive fold, indicated that Governor Oyebanji has offered credible and unblemished leadership for the people of the state.

Bamisile gave the commendations in a statement issued on Sunday, saluting the APC leaders for this extreme display of maturity and solidarity with the governor.

On Saturday, high profile political leaders like former Governors Niyi Adebayo, Dr Kayode Fayemi, Senate Leader, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, National assembly members, State Working Committee, and other party bigwigs, had during a caucus meeting held at Iyin Ekiti, endorsed Oyebanji for second term to appreciate his outstanding performance.

Applauding the party’s position, Bamisile said that the action loudly testified to the fact that the APC leadership in Ekiti are solidly united behind Governor Oyebanji .

With this endorsement, Bamisile told political office holders to learn a lesson that Nigerians knew how to reward credible leadership, urging elected officials to always uphold the doctrine of selfless service, so that the people can reciprocate their good deeds.

“Let me congratulate Governor Biodun Oyebanji, our leaders at all levels and the entire APC members for this endorsement. I believe this will serve as an impetus for the governor to rev up the pedal of delivery and work more for the people of the state.

“In politics, hardwork and selfless services pay, and what the leaders did further was a loud testimonial to this axiomatic fact. Let us rededicate ourselves more in our services to the people wherever we serve and the reward shall surely come”.

Rather than fir APC members to tango or lock in a fierce battle for the governorship ticket in 2026 poll, Bamisile said the APC would save their energies and forge a united front behind Oyebanji to deliver for the party, so that the velocity of development being witnessed in Ekiti will continue unimpeded.

“Rancour within a political system or party often cause defeat. But with this verdict coming from our leaders, all APC members will be more committed to win the coming poll. We have to spare ourselves of the rigour of primaries and the attendant discordant ripples to stabilise the system.

“This showed that our political system is gradually maturing and the tide of desperation gradually waning. This was indeed a good omen for our democracy”, he said.
