By Samuel Sunday

The traders, under the aegis of Asewusi Timber Traders Market Association, gathered in their numbers, waving banners and chanting “BAO” as they expressed satisfaction with the governor’s leadership and performance in office.

Chairman of the market, Mr. Philip Oluwaseyi Olamilekan, said the endorsement was driven by the genuine love the governor has shown to traders, emphasizing that members unanimously agreed to mobilize massive support for his re-election.

Olamilekan revealed that the association plans to deliver over 1,000 votes, adding that members already possess their Permanent Voter Cards and are fully prepared to canvass support across the state.

Speaking during the gathering, Mr. Oluwasami Ajayi described Oyebanji as a true democrat who prioritizes the welfare of the people, adding that the governor has distinguished himself by fostering unity among past leaders in the state.

Ajayi stressed that the governor’s inclusive style of governance has created peace and cooperation in Ekiti, noting that his ability to bring former governors together reflects maturity and leadership.

He further commended the governor for his consistent support to their businesses, stating that Oyebanji has personally assisted traders financially on several occasions, sometimes donating millions of naira from his personal resources.

Also speaking, the association’s deputy, Mrs. Okanlawon Folashade Esther, described the governor as a father figure who has uplifted the group, assuring that traders would reciprocate his goodwill with overwhelming votes in the next election.

Other members, including Mrs. Dolapo Adeoye, echoed similar sentiments, affirming that the governor has remained supportive of their welfare and businesses, and pledged total commitment to ensuring his victory at the polls.
