Hon. (AVM Rtd) Rufus Adeniyi Ojuawo has launched practical agricultural projects across Ekiti South, keying into Nigeria’s ongoing agricultural revolution and drawing inspiration from the initiatives of His Excellency, Governor Biodun Oyebanji, to encourage a return to farming.
Recognizing agriculture as a vital tool for grassroots empowerment, Hon. Ojuawo has established farm projects in *Ogbese, Ise-Ekiti, and Ikato, Ogotun-Ekiti*. The initiative moves beyond advocacy to direct implementation.
Hon. Ojuawo has provided participants with free agricultural inputs and hands-on technical support, transitioning beneficiaries from training to active production.
The projects are already yielding positive results across the constituency, with early harvests and increased engagement from local farmers.
Speaking on the initiative, Hon. Ojuawo stated: “This is about building real capacity at the grassroots. By supporting our people with inputs and practical knowledge, we strengthen food production, create economic opportunities, and drive sustainable development.”
Hon. Ojuawo is committed to consolidating and expanding these gains in his second term, with a focus on scaling food production, deepening economic empowerment, and ensuring long-term sustainability for farmers in Ekiti South.
