The Ekiti State Government has taken notice of a press statement issued by the Wole Oluyede Campaign Organization, alleging that the government spent ₦25 million to manipulate a media outlet over the INEC governorship election candidate list.
“We categorically state that these claims are baseless and lack concrete evidence”.

The government respects the democratic rights of all citizens but insists on fact-based discourse. The allegation fails to cite a specific media outlet or provide transaction proof, undermining its credibility. We question the logic behind the alleged expenditure, given that official government and INEC platforms provide free, authentic information.
Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s administration has focused on delivering results, including rehabilitating infrastructure, strengthening education and healthcare, expanding youth empowerment, and enhancing security. Independent assessments rank Ekiti State as a leader in transparency and public finance management.
“We urge political actors to focus on facts and constructive engagement, rather than sensational claims. Our people are discerning and will support leadership with competence, integrity, and transparency”.
The administration will continue to deal fairly with all citizens, regardless of political party affiliations.

Rt. Hon. Taiwo Olatunbosun
