In a bid to calm rising tensions in the Gulf and Middle East, China and Pakistan have unveiled a joint initiative calling for an immediate ceasefire, peace talks, and respect for sovereignty.

The plan, born out of a Beijing meeting between China’s Wang Yi and Pakistan’s Mohammad Ishaq Dar, emphasizes humanitarian access, protection of civilians, and securing vital maritime routes like the Strait of Hormuz.
The proposal urges strict adherence to international law and UN Charter principles, aiming to stabilize the volatile region through diplomacy and multilateral cooperation.
