The newly appointed Commissioner of Police of Ekiti State, CP Michael Adegoroye Falade, has outlined his priorities for the Command, emphasizing safety, security, and community cooperation.

In a maiden press briefing held in his office in Ado-Ekiti on Monday, CP Falade expressed his commitment to serving the people of Ekiti State with honesty, fairness, and integrity.
He pledged to prioritize the security of lives and property, and to work with other security agencies and stakeholders to create a peaceful and crime-free environment.
“We shall create an atmosphere where everyone can sleep peacefully and go about their lawful activities without fear or threat,” CP Falade said.

The Commissioner outlined his strategy for achieving this goal, including intelligence-led policing, visibility policing, raids on criminal hideouts, and other crime prevention measures.
He also emphasized the importance of citizens’ cooperation and collaboration in the fight against crime.
CP Falade assured that his administration would be friendly to law-abiding citizens but tough on crime and criminal elements. He also promised to establish quicker responses to complaints and to ensure that the principle of the rule of law and respect for human rights prevail.

The Commissioner called on all Security Agencies, Unions, Associations, Religious Leaders, NGOs, and members of the public to support and collaborate with the Police in order to ensure a crime-free society.
