The South-West leadership of the All Progressives Congress has expressed strong confidence in the re-election of Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, citing his performance as a major factor driving unity within the party.
Speaking after emerging as the zonal chairman, Isaac Kekemeke said the governor’s record in office has set a new standard for governance at the state level and positioned him favourably for the June 20 governorship poll in Ekiti.

According to him, a successful outing in Ekiti would serve as a foundation for subsequent elections, including the Osun governorship contest and the 2027 presidential election.
The position of the party was conveyed in a statement released in Ado Ekiti by Yinka Oyebode, media aide to the governor.
Delivering his acceptance speech in Lagos, Kekemeke also called for massive electoral support for Bola Tinubu in the South-West during the next presidential election.
He further urged party members and voters in Osun State to rally behind the APC governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, ahead of the August poll.
Kekemeke stressed that the immediate task before the party was to secure victory in Ekiti and Osun, noting that unity and collective effort would be critical to achieving these goals.
He assured stakeholders that the newly constituted executive would improve on past performances through wider consultations and stronger collaboration with party leaders and lawmakers.
Reaffirming the party’s direction, he stated that the APC remains committed to policies centred on development, economic growth, and national unity.
